dammital

So.. ya know what sucks worse then having a sore throat & no voice? Being at work & answering the phones with a sore throat & no voice. BBBLLLAAAHHHCCCHHH!

Anyway not much going on... got some itchy bumpy skack coodies on the back of my Right leg. I think from using uncleaned gym equipment - it's starting to go away & I've started sitting on towels @ the gym. Grodieness!!

To avoid a complaining session... Speakin of the gym - I've done really well. I'm still going 4 days a week. Even participated in some drama... one of the Group Exercise instructors (that everyone loves) had his class schedule cut back, so I helped edit a petition to get him scheduled to lead more classes. It worked! Kenneth has all most all his classes back & is covering more classes when other people are out. Only down side is he's being forced (by management) to charge for his Friday night "BootCamp" class... his revolt was to charge $1 instead of the $3-$5 that some other instructors are charging.

I've been getting a lot of packages in the mail. So that's been kinda cool & exciting. I mean the packages aren't really because they're school books or Rickey's bday gift, but it's the whole prospect of opening a package that your not 100% sure of the contents (even though you know what you've ordered), just makes me happy for some reason. Shut up - I know, I'm a little on the special side some of the time... well most of the time.

Retardedness from the fam...
Me: Hey mom, did you read the article about new genes associated with MS
Mom: yes, maybe you should discuss it with your doctor
Me: the article said even w/ the genes - its' still only about a 7% chance of developing it - besides my Dr knows you have MS, and about Grandma J's & dad's cancer
Mom: What about Grandma P's breast cancer?
Me: WTF?? I knew she had a lumpectomy 4 years ago but no one ever said it was malignant!! I assumed it was benign.
Mom: Well you know how this family is about discussing our health issues...
Marie: But don't you think that is an important piece of family history for your daughter to know?

Love it.

Whatever

Don't really have that much to say... just feeling bad that I haven't said anything in quite a while.

Yesterday I shelled out $296 for 2 classes @ CPCC for Fall 2007 semester. Then looked up the books. At the CPCC bookstore they wanted me to pay $206.55 for used books!! I looked up the same books on Amazon and found all but 1... totalling $118.60 including shipping. So yeah - I bought the books from Amazon & I'll give CPCC the $36.50 for the 1 book I coulnd't find.

Also did some research on the banks tuition reimbursment... found out that as long as I keep my Meets or Exeeds ratings(which is not a problem) I can get reimbursed for tuition, books, & internet connection (if its required for the class.. and it is since I'm taking the classes online) up to $2,000.00 USD per year... Whoo hoo!!

OO and happy news about $$ spent... My copy of Sunshine Jones - Seven Tracks in Seven Days came in the mail yesterday too. So Far I've only been able to listen to the 1st 5 tracks... but it's good news.

What else? I'm going to the gyms still - 4 days a week (or more) @ 1hr (or more) each time. So that's good I guess. I really don't feel a change in my energy level or attitude like people said there would be. But I do like going.

I wonder what life will be 8/30/07 - 12/08/07 shen I've got 40-50hrs of work + 5hrs (or more) of working out + 2 classes. Think I may become a hermit & never leave the house. Shell might need to rely on someone else for Burrito Project.

Anyway - that's about it I guess. LataZ!

More Debt...

So earlier this year, I used my bonus to pay off a credit card instead of getting new flooring.

Here it is less then 3 months later, Mom has wrecked her car & I have to go into debt to get her a dependable car. Took out a loan for $7,500, the down payment will be covered by the Insurance monies for the totaled Saturn Wagon.

And here it is - my new car...

I told mom, since it's in my name & on my insurance I'm takin it to the beach in June. She can borrow the Cadillac from grandpa. Do you blame me? Who wouldn't want to drive the newer car w/ a sunroof on a week long beach trip?

It's in the past.
